Professional Profile and CV

Julian Vertefeuille is born at Willimantic – Connecticut, on 9 October, 1947; he is a U.S. and Italian citizen, possessing complete fluency and technical knowledge of both the Italian and English language.

In 1975 he graduates in Architecture at the University of Florence – Italy, with full marks.

He lives in Rome where he works as a free-lance professional architect and Language Mediator (IT<>EN) for the Foreign Expansion Process of Architectural and Engineering Consulting Companies.

Professional Experience

Starting from 2005 he is in charge of Foreign Assignments for Studio Amati Architetti, an Architectural and Engineering Consulting Firm based in Rome, performing the following main tasks:

- monitoring and evaluation of Foreign Tenders and Competitions;

- preliminary contacts with - and data collection from - Contracting Entities;

- preparation of Tender documents;

- selection of local partners and survey missions abroad;

- drafting of MOAs, Reports and relevant papers;

- translation of drawing captions and notes;

- voice and epistolary contacts with Foreign Partners and Authorities.

Promotional, data-collecting surveys and work missions have been carried out in Algeria, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Kuwait, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, the United States.

From 2001 to 2007 he is appointed Docent for the course “Product Design: Materials and Components” at UNICAM, the University of Camerino – Ascoli Piceno, Italy

From 1985 to 2005 he is technical manager and active partner of Promit S.r.L., an Ltd. Contracting Company specialized in trade-show and interior design; he coordinates the design and production departments and supervises final on-site assembly in Foreign Countries such as France, Germany, the U.S.A, Singapore, South Korea.

From 1976 to 1980 he joins “Studio Design Sette”, an architectural consulting firm founded by professor Fabrizio Cocchia, where he is junior architect in Foreign Assignments and Competitions.

From 1980 to 1985 he is Junior field Architect for Technosynesis, a Company, an affiliate of Gruppo Tecnitalia, designing New Towns in Nigeria.

Personal abilities

Easy personal approach; specific knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes notably wood, glassfibre and similar composites. Expert sailor, wood-working craftsman and cook.
